August 18, 2010 7:30 PM: A History of Quilting by Ellen Jogo.
Ellen will describe the various quilting patterns used to make these beautiful creations. Samples of a number of quilts will be available. Also, the quilt being raffled off will be on display with raffle tickets available for purchase. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.
September 15, 2010 7:30 PM: The History of Mormonism in Our Area.
Area Attorney Lee Hartjen will share with us the beginnings of Mormonism in New York State. Playing a significant early role were the towns of Afton and Harmony PA. These were some of the earliest events in the beginnings of the world-wide church; the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.
October 10, 2010 10 AM — 3 PM: Harvest Pie Sale at Octoberfest.
Stop by our booth and purchase some of the best home-baked pies around! In the afternoon the quilt raffle winning ticket will be drawn.
October 10, 2010 (Columbus Day Sunday) The Museum closes for the season on this date at 4:00 PM.
October 20, 2010 7:30 PM: Quarterly Meeting and Program, It Takes a Village Idiot.
Jim Mullen, well-known author will entertain audience members with his delightful humorous stories. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.
December 12, 2010 2:00 — 4:00 PM: Annual Christmas Open House.
Join family and friends as we celebrate the holidays in our beautifully decorated Museum. Enjoy delicious refreshments and special musical entertainment provided by the Holdrege Family Singers.
