All events are free and are at the Deposit Historical Society Museum unless otherwise noted.

May 17, 2008 10 AM to 3:00 PM: 7th Annual Old Time Folk and Craft Fair.
Enjoy a variety of special crafters, a bake sale with homemade treats, and delicious food at this great event. Watch for more details as the date nears.

May 25, 2008 2:00 to 4:00 PM: Museum Opens for the 2008 Season.
Regular hours are 2 to 4:00 PM on Thursdays and Sundays through mid October. Visit one of Delaware County’s finest museums. Experience Deposit’s varied history and view our many exhibits.

June 18, 2008 7:30 PM: Quarterly Meeting and program, The Baby Boomer Generation.
Presenter Mike O’Brien will explain how the population explosion that began in 1946 created significant changes in lifestyle still felt today. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

July 19, 2008 9 AM to 3 PM: Brown Bread and Baked Bean Sale at the Lumberjack Fest.
Stop by our booth to get some great loaves of old fashioned brown bread and baked beans while you enjoy the other festivities.

July 23, 2008 7:30 PM: Quarterly Meeting and program, The History of Our Area.
Presenter Bob Boyd will enlighten us on the history of Cannonsville, Tompkins and Delaware Counties, including their settlement and creation prior to 1880. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

August 20, 2008 7:30 PM: Zane and Dolly Grey—the Lackawaxen Years.
Join for a great program presented by Dorothy Moon, curator of the Lackawaxen Zane Grey Museum. Ms. Moon will discuss one of America’s most prolific writers of Western novels. During the 1900s he wrote at a quiet retreat in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania, the present site of the Zane Grey Museum. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

September 24, 7:30 PM: Indian Villages of the Unadilla Valley.
Presented by Franklin J. (Buzz) Hesse, who will trace the history from prehistoric times to the 18th century on the Susquehanna River. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

October 12, 2008 10 AM to 3 PM: Harvest Pie Sale at Octoberfest.
Stop at our booth to purchase some of the best home-baked pies around! The Museum closes for the season on this date.

October 22, 2008 7:30 PM: Quarterly Meeting and program: Great Graves.
Chuck D’Imperio, aka “Big Chuck” of WDOS radio fame, will recount fascinating stories of former famous and some infamous NY State residents from his book Great Graves of Upstate NY. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

December 7, 2008 2:00 to 4:00 PM: Annual Christmas Open House.
Join family and friends as we celebrate the holidays in our beautifully decorated Museum. Enjoy delicious refreshments and special musical entertainment.
