Note: The January Annual Meeting will now be held in March because of many weather issues in the past. This is a permanent change.

March 14, 2012  6:30 & 7:30 PM: Annual Meeting and Covered Dish Supper
At 6:30 PM join us for a covered dish supper. Please bring a family size dish to share and table service. Coffee and tea will be provided. At 7:30 we will have a short Annual Meeting, followed immediately with musical entertainment by Elaine Floden, a harpist from Susquehanna, PA. Ms. Floden also works as a portrait artist and photographer.

April 18, 2012   7:30 PM: Quarterly Meeting and Program: The  Life and Legacy of John Burroughs, Literary Naturalist
Author Diane Galusha will return to the museum with another fascinating program about one of Delaware County's most prestigious figures, in celebration of Burroughs 175th birthday. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

May 12, 2012   10:00 AM to 3:00 PM: 11th Annual Old Time Folk and Craft Fair
Enjoy a variety of special crafters, delicious food, plants for sale and more at this great event. Musical entertainment from 11 AM to 1 PM. Something fun for everyone!

May 27, 2012 (Memorial Day Sunday)  2:00 to 4:00 PM: Museum Opens for the 2012 season.
Regular hours are 2 to 4:00 PM on Thursdays and Sundays through Columbus Day Sunday. Visit one of Delaware County’s finest museums. Experience Deposit’s varied history and view our many exhibits. Free Admission!

June 20, 2012   7:30 PM: Program not yet settled. It will be posted as soon as we have the details to report.

July 14, 2012   9:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Baked Bean and Brown Bread Sale at the Lumberjack Fest
Stop by our booth to get some great freshly prepared baked beans and homemade loaves of old fashioned brown bread. Other items from our Museum gift shop will also be available.

July 18, 2012   7:30 PM: Quarterly Meeting and Program, A Living History Presentation by R.W. (Bob) White.
Mr. White portrays Judge C. P. Avery, who recounts the circumstances surrounding the death of Susana Loft who was killed in a train wreck in Deposit in 1852. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

August 18, 2012   10 AM: DHS Fund-Raising Auction (Preview at 9AM)
A large selection of donated items from dishes to furniture and everything else in between will be sold. Those with items to donate (no clothing please), should contact the museum staff at 467-4422. Note: no items from the Museum collection will be sold.

September 19, 2012   7:30 PM: Now in Paperback
Jim Mullen, writer and author will once again entertain audience members with excerpts from his latest book, which is a collection of his funniest syndicated columns from the past 10 years. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

October 7, 2012 (Columbus Day Sunday)
The Museum closes for the season on this date at 4:00 PM. Research Library continues to be open on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 AM until about noon. Call ahead of time to be sure, or for an appointment!

October 14, 2012   10 AM to 3 PM: Harvest Pie Sale at Octoberfest.
Stop by our booth and purchase some of the best home-baked pies around! Come early for the best selection.

October 17, 2012   7:30 PM: Quarterly Meeting and Program—Visions, True Stories of Spiritualism, Secret Societies, and Murder.
Michael Keene, award-winning producer, will present an historical documentary that explores political, social, and religious movements in the Western NY and Finger Lakes Region during the 19th century. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

December 9, 2012   2:00 to 4:00 PM: Annual Christmas Open House.
Join family and friends as we celebrate the holidays in our beautifully decorated Museum. Enjoy delicious refreshments and special musical entertainment with the Holdrege family singers. Be sure you don’t miss The 12 Days of Christmas—a very popular part of the program!
